Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a combo class that consist of TK/K students. My students are little sponges eager to learn and explore everyday. I enjoy seeing their little faces light up when they use their imagination when creating art work.

My students love to draw and paint a variety of pictures.

For many of my students this is their first schooling experience. My students attend a Title One School and receive free lunch. Despite the many challenges they may have, they come to school happy every day.

My Project

Through art, my students will be able to express their thoughts and feelings when drawing and/or painting a picture. When they go to the art center, they will have a variety of tools to choose from to create their masterpieces. The art center will have different color paints, rollers, sponges and stencils to choose from.

Painting will allow my students the opportunity to have fun as well as promote innovation and creativity.

In addition, art will allow my students the ability to improve their memory and concentration skills, critical thinking skills and help with fine motor skills.
