This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a bilingual speech language therapist, I constantly seek new ways to enhance the support I offer my students, particularly through visual and tangible tools which can be fun and engaging. Many of my students need assistance with producing sounds clearly, a skill known as articulation. Articulation practice can sometimes feel repetitive and less engaging, as it often involves a lot of repetition of sounds in isolation and within words. To make therapy more enjoyable and effective, I use articulation cards, games and hands-on materials. These resources help keep students engaged, increase their chances of mastering accurate sound production, and provide motivation through picture cards and rewarding incentives.
It is so important for a child to be able to express their wants and needs and be understood without the frustration of having to repeat themselves because they can't produce a specific sounds.
Articulation therapy helps with speech clarity and is an essential part of speech and language development. Help me make articulation therapy fun and engaging for my students.
