This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If children are our future, I am satisfied to know that this class of students will make this world a better place. They have already demonstrated perseverance because of the many challenges they have faced this year.
My students are creative, hard working, and love learning.
They are always willing to try new things and believe in the Power of Yet. They have a Growth Mindset and know that if they don't understand a concept, they will get it through hard work and perseverance.
Through DonorsChoose.org, I hope to support their social emotional learning, foster their creativity, and boost their self confidence, helping them to gain the skills to be successful in not only the next grade, but in their lifelong goals.
My Project
Art makes students excited to show up for learning. It helps them express their emotions and link to learning in a creative way. It connects our class, even though we can’t physically be together. It highlights talents that might not be apparent in other more traditional subjects. It lets students from various backgrounds find common ground. Art supports our learning of essential common core standards. We will be using a variety of art tools to demonstrate comprehension in the areas of: Social Emotional Learning, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. Please help us increase our learning and educational enjoyment.
