This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Pre-kindergarten is one of the most amazing times of a child's life. It is a time for exploration and creativity. My students are full of amazing ideas and the desire to learn.
Students in this community come from low-income families; many families in this community go without the basic necessities.
I love that even with the needs they face, they are strong and full of capabilities, full of life, and full of ideas. I would like for my students to get all the materials they need in our classroom to provide a hands-on and engaging learning environment.
My Project
The materials requested are essential to inspire creativity for my students. Art will help my students develop socially, mentally, and emotionally. It will help them learn using crayons to write, and it will help them develop their fine motor skills and so much more.
During remote learning in the beginning, art was used as a form to express themselves.
A world of art is so amazing, and these students use art to tell you things that words can't. The simplest painting can show you the may faces of a child and their emotions, their thoughts, and it just brings their minds to life. I can't imagine a world without art and don't want them to either.
