“Art That Wont Stop Sticking and Gets a Licking :( !!”
I am a Visual Arts teacher at a Title I (high needs community) in NY teaching Pre K-5th graders. Classes run from 28-31 children per art period, five to six periods a day!
My art room desperately needs a drying rack. I do a lot of collage work with my students using construction paper and glue since we lack the supplies to do painting projects. My problem is that I have no space to dry the art work. When the next period comes in, I have to stack the collages on top of each other and often they are not fully dry and end up STICKING together, ruining the students' little masterpieces! You should see their sad faces when I have to give back their work of art that has been ruined because of this problem. It breaks my heart, for I remember being a child and being proud of my art work and wanting to keep it just so! Please help keep the students' hard earned work intact by donating toward a drying rack. Thank you!
