My Project

I teach at a very diverse school in Miami that is racially underrepresented. Over 90% of my students are Black or of Hispanic Heritage. Many speak more than two languages and come from Chile, Haiti, and even Brazil! My students are considered minorities and are sadly unrepresented in many district-side and state-wide events.

Our student population has experienced a wave or influx of students who are considered minorities and I have had to expand my art classes, and STEAM program in terms of getting more art materials.

At the end of the school year, we have a higher demand for artwork from the students, yet this is when we are running out of the basic materials. My students need clay, markers, duck tape, scissors, glue, and liquid chalk. Your help will make a difference in supporting our students.
