Art Supplies to Develop Creative Thinkers

My Students

This year, I am working with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade scholars in an Arts and Crafts after-school program. We do not have an art teacher at our school, so in addition to the enrichment program I am running, students often also come during free time and recess to enjoy exploring their creative side.

I teach at a low-income school, so my scholars do not have access to as many art resources as some of their peers, and my program has very limited access to supplies.

I would love to be able to provide a variety of art supplies for my students to use so they can express themselves artistically, even without a formal program.

My Project

The students at my school do not have access to regular art programming, but that has not stopped their desire to express themselves through a variety of mediums. Students love to draw, make jewelry, build, and paint. They have recently fell in love with painting canvasses and other pieces to decorate the school and their homes, and I would love to get some extra supplies to help them do this.

The students also hope to paint inspirational murals on the walls of the school, so the paint and brushes will be used for that as well.
