Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their creativity, individuality, and pride in expressing themselves. My students with autism often communicate and connect with the world in unique ways, and art is one of the most powerful tools we use in our classroom to support that expression. Whether they are verbal or nonverbal, each student deserves the chance to see their ideas come to life, and personalized art helps them do just that.

With your support, we will use vinyl materials to create personalized art projects that allow students to explore colors, textures, shapes, and letters in a way that is hands-on and meaningful.

These materials will be used for custom name decals, visual schedules, calming tools, classroom decorations, and take-home projects that celebrate each child’s identity and achievements.

Vinyl is especially helpful for students with sensory needs because it can be used on a variety of surfaces and textures, making it easy to create engaging and accessible visuals. These projects also build fine motor skills, boost self-confidence, and help students feel more connected to their learning environment.

This project will bring joy and creativity into our classroom while honoring the strengths and needs of every student. Thank you for helping us make art personal, purposeful, and empowering.
