This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are resourceful and innovative creators. When I give them something art or project related I'm often amazed by what they come up with. So many students are so phenomenally talented, yet most lack the resources they need to fully realize their potential. I am excited to be able to give them some of the tools they need to tap into their inner artist and create projects that will ultimately be showcased at this year's Open House.
This school year we will be creating various works of art including: a Teenage Declaration of Independence, a Bill of Rights Collage, a variety of watercolor and acrylic paintings, original American political cartoons, and a group Interdisciplinary project that will require them to present to the public.
The resources included here (parchment and calligraphy papers for our Teen Declaration, various size canvasses and paints for watercolor and acrylic, decorative papers for collages, posters and trifold display boards for individual and group projects) will allow them to create that much more efficiently without the stress and burden of having to scramble for supplies.
Your donations are great appreciated in these efforts!
