Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I strive to give my students options within the art room. Not every student feels comfortable expressing themselves and further more confident in their abilities. Recently I have much success with these specific materials of paint sticks for those who need reassurance of their abilities. This was in tandem with the plexiglass materials, I used old frames so the students could trace each other using contour line and in turn creating portraits. It was a great success and I would like to continue this project in the future.
Additionally it is always difficult to keep your art classroom full of supplies when all of your daily materials are consumables.
Keeping pencils in stock and having adequate storage space for students creations is an ever growing obstacle. My students will really appreciate these supplies to enhance their experience in the art room. I strive to allow my students to express themselves through their art and these supplies will give them that experience. Thank you!
