My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to make their time at school not only informative, but creative and fun. I want to create a meaningful learning experience for each and every student that walks into my room. I want them to want to be there.

My students are creative dreamers and thinkers, they love to learn new things and work with new materials.

They truly deserve this opportunity, but with our budget so low, I cannot afford to get them the materials they so desperately need. More than 80% of my students are eligible for a free or reduced lunch, so needless to say our budget is very tight.

As it stands, we have next to nothing for art materials. We are in need of everything. Studies show that arts education raises test scores in other courses like science, math and social studies just to name a few. With these funds I can create a stronger art program can help guide my students to success.

My Project

These materials will help in making our art class a more creative and informative place to learn. We need paper, paint and just about everything you can think of. We have next to nothing for supplies. I would like to use a wide variety of materials so that my students can benefit from multi-medium exploration.

These supplies will be used everyday by over 500 students.

My amazing students really deserve a chance to explore and create. These supplies, will give them the opportunity to learn and enjoy their time in art class.

I look forward to my students getting the chance to learn from the process of creating art.
