Art Supplies for My Second Graders!

My students need various art supplies for the classroom, including pencils, construction paper, crayons, clay, paint brushes, paint trays, and paint brushes.

My Students

Do you remember how much you loved doing art projects when you were little? My school doesn't have an art teacher so my students have had limited experiences with art. I want to give my students opportunities to express themselves and develop their creativity through art, but I need some supplies.

I have 27 energetic second grade students in my classroom.

They are eager to learn and love coming to school each day. Our school has over 1,100 students from pre-k to eighth grade. It is a Title 1 school, which means that many of my students' families are living below the poverty line. Approximately 85% of the students receive free lunch.

My Project

My students love being creative and expressing themselves through art. We use our art supplies across the curriculum to help build the students' literacy, math, science, and social studies skills. However, we are running very low on supplies and will be unable to complete many art projects during the upcoming school year unless our supplies are restocked. I am requesting several packs of construction paper, a classpack of crayons, washable paint, various paint brushes, paint trays, watercolor pan sets, Crayola Model Magic clay, wiggle eyes, and pencils for my students to use for art projects throughout the year. These supplies will allow me to regularly incorporate artwork into lessons and encourage my students' creativity.

Your donation will provide my students with access to the most basic of art materials and make it possible for them to complete art projects throughout the year.

These supplies will promote creativity and will help my students to develop an appreciation and love of art.
