Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our ES is a Title I School (more than half of our kiddos are on free and reduced lunch) in Fort Worth, TX. Our students come from various backgrounds and languages, and art class is one of the places where the language barrier is dropped, and everyone is on the same page.

This project is to get supplies, specifically scissors, that can be used either left or right.

On average, 10% of people are left-handed, but I have discovered that almost 25% of my students are left-handed. I do not have enough leftie scissors for all of them. Having scissors that could be used with either hand would help all the kiddos.

This project also includes other supplies, such as paint daubers (for my younger students and students with learning differences) and other things we need to replenish our supplies.
