My Students

My kindergarten class is an amazing group of diverse learners. I work with students from many different cultural backgrounds, with some students speaking up to 3 languages. I also teach students with disabilities who need additional resources and support. My goal as their teacher is to differentiate my instruction to meet their needs, whether I am teaching math or social skills. Everyday I work to build a classroom community where all students are respected, encouraged, and included.

Kindergarten is a crucial year in a child's academic and social/emotional development, and I strive to be the best teacher for each of my students.

There is no other job I could imagine doing. I am grateful to DonorsChoose for connecting me to so many wonderful people and organizations who want to help my classroom succeed this year and every year.

My Project

I am excited to buy more great art supplies so my kids can really make some unique projects this year. So far we have just been making projects with construction paper. But with tissue paper, rainbow scratch paper, and fun frames, we can make some great art. And the stapler and craft containers will be very useful. I am also trying to organize my library with more books under the same author, which is why I am buying all Leo Leonni books. The storage boxes will help organize the library by author.

These craft and library supplies will help give my class the additional materials and resources needed as we continue into our year of kindergarten.
