My students need 40 pairs of high quality Fiskars brand scissors and a 24" heavy duty X-Acto brand paper trimmer.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Granda's classroom raised $362
This project is fully funded
I am the Art teacher in a Northern Ohio charter school. Our school is a special education program for students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or Asperger's Syndrome (mild autism). Our school was founded on the principle that all students can learn when given the proper tools and learning environment. I teach Art to 195 students at all grade levels (K-12).
As my high school students are starting to look to the future and think about college, many of them are leaning toward a career in the arts! I believe this is a golden opportunity for me to help prepare my eager young artists for the next step.
While most of my students are naturally artistic, they often have difficulty getting organized and presenting their talents. I want to help my student prepare art portfolios that will impress art jurors in any college admissions office. A very important part of showing artwork is presentation.
With these new scissors and heavy duty paper trimmer, I can help my students frame original works of art and showcase their talents. New scissors will create sharp, noticeably clean edges around my students' beautiful work.
Please help my high school students prepare for the next step in their path toward a career in the arts!
