Art Students Welcome Your Donations!

My students need Blickrylic Student Acrylics paints, Richeson Semi-Moist Watercolors (and Canson Hritage Watercolor Paper), and Prang Colored Pencils for experiencing new techniques, which are essential in protecting students' natural inclination to explore through creative experimentation.

My Students

My students are inquisitive, caring, creative individuals that want to explore many materials and art-making processes through a hands-on collaborative choice-based art practice. Critical thinking and problem-solving are alive and well in the art room. The process of analyzing and creating art challenges students to develop these skills. Art students are given open-ended problems to solve. This encourages them to think critically to solve problems in their own unique way.

These skills transfer to many other areas of life.

And they cannot be assessed on a standardized test. My students need new materials for hands-on projects that promote collaboration and creative problem-solving, which can be applied throughout life.

My Project

Throughout the year, many art projects will be created from the re-purposing of materials from prior years. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional options to make more effective learning choices.

Choice in education is a crucial contribution into fostering skills and advancing academic achievement.

As a result of choice-based arts education, students’ critical thinking skills improve and reach a wider and more successful level.

Each project is designed to allow room for student choice of materials based on their own level of preference and skills. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help them grow even more! The students really appreciate any donations you may offer!
