it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our elementary school library, creativity and learning go hand in hand. We are working to make the library a space where students don’t just read stories—they bring them to life through art, collaboration, and hands-on activities. These materials will allow students to respond to books through drawing, design colorful posters for book recommendations, and participate in interactive library lessons. The triangular crayons are especially helpful for our youngest learners, offering better grip and control as they illustrate their ideas. Dry erase pockets and markers will be used for reusable response activities, like library games, graphic organizers, and quick writes during read-alouds. With the addition of tempera paints, students can engage in larger collaborative art projects tied to literature and schoolwide themes.
