Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Are we going to learn about World War II?" "Are we going to learn science this year?" "What kind of art projects are we going to do?" These are only some of the questions my students asked me throughout the year.
My class is full of curious and creative individuals who are very eager and ready to learn in school again.
The amazing thing is that this pandemic has not stopped their excitement when assigned a new math game, or when listening to a read aloud, and I do not want their excitement to die out anytime soon.
My Project
As we start the school year in person after 15 months of virtual learning, I want to make sure my students have their own brand new set of art supplies so that we don't have to worry about sharing when we make art. This will hopefully also give them the autonomy of keeping track of their own art supplies since they each will get a set.
With all of last year's learning at home and some without many art supplies, I want to make sure they have all that they need and want to express themselves through art.
