My students need essential art supplies like masking tape, sharpeners, pencils, scratch board knives, canvas panels and an easel to create inspiring masterpieces this school year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a small school with a big heart. Our school is a Title I school in a middle to low class neighborhood, many of our students are immigrants if not first generation Americans from working families.
Matisse once said, "Creativity takes courage" and every day in our art room we make sure to be courageous!
My students are brave adventurers that have no fear in creating fabulous masterpieces. In our art room we strive to be creative EVERY DAY!
My Project
Having some basic art room supplies like an easel, canvas panels, sharpeners and pencils will create a very positive and meaningful experience in our art room. Our classroom motto this year is "Creativity takes Courage" and the supplies we are in need of will enable us to be courageous this school year. We will explore painting on canvas en plein air and we will scratch away beautiful positive and negative space designs with our scratch knives.
The projects I hope to accomplish this school year with my classes will provide them with meaningful memories that will last a lifetime!
