My Students
The students here at our school come from a rural community that stretches approximately 20 miles north and south of the school. Coming to school is a joy for them, and to be able to see and hang out with their friends is important to their social development. They are a bright, ambitious, creative and curious little group of boys and girls.
One of the unique things about our school is the beauty of sitting next to a lagoon that offers our school kayaking and canoeing.
Also a wonderful area to explore nature. This gives the kids the opportunity to be physically active, hearty and have a special love and knowledge of nature.
My Project
I would love to get a laminating machine for our school library. It would come in handy for special art projects, cards, documents, labels and other paper products that need to last through the years.
We are a small rural school with a total of 23 students in grades TK to 8th grade, so it would become a valuable asset to not only the students, but the staff.
I also added 6 new cushions to my list. We have an increase of little students and I do not have enough cushions for all. We use them during story time so that they have a special place to sit and to keep them settled in one spot and helps keeps the wiggles at bay.
