Art Projects for Expressing Feelings

Help me give my students the gift of increased emotional and social support by giving them the opportunity to do art projects and make bulletin boards which will increase their ability to express their feelings.

My Students

I have the most darling students. They are so happy to be learning at school every day. They are kind to each other and look out for the students with unique needs and developmental delays. I just adore them.

These students know how to work; I mean they really try to become better writers and readers daily.

They love math and are motivated to try hard problems. Our classroom community is fun, respectful, and safe. I look forward to having this group of students for the remainder of the school year.

My Project

This project includes many supplies which will be used to make both art projects and bulletin boards in my 2nd-grade classroom and in the elementary school I teach in. I will use these resources to help my students express their feelings and learn to get along better with one another. These art projects and bulletin boards will specifically be used to promote social-emotional learning in my classroom. Art is the perfect way for students to freely express what they feeling and then learn to manage their complicated emotions. Art is a safe and effective way to teach young children about emotional health.
