This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are an eager and energetic group of Kindergarteners who love to learn! We are a Title I school located in Philadelphia. Our classroom is a safe haven where we can learn and grow together. We try our best and want so much to learn and make our teacher and families proud.

Many students are English Language Learners experiencing their first school days immersed in a foreign language.

As you can imagine, this can be a difficult transition for many. We learn and grow together every day!

My Project

A Cricut Explore Air machine will help my class to engage in more fun arts and crafts projects. The drive in Kindergarten has been changed to that of much more rigorous work. Gone are the days of art projects and creative masterpieces you can hang on your fridge. I want my students to have the opportunity to create, explore, and extend through crafts and art projects that tie into what we are learning. Our resources are tight, but this machine would allow me to create and share the necessary components with my class to make that happen. This machine will help me to plan and facilitate cutting and organizing of craft pieces for 26 students. My students will then use these pieces to let their imaginations run wild!

I hope to provide special Kindergarten graduation and field trip T-shirts for each of my students.

The Circuit Explore Air will allow me to design and make T-shirts for each and every student without cost to their parents. I know my students would be thrilled to have this gift to remember their time in Kindergarten!
