Help me give my students the opportunity to express their creativity through construction paper, paint, skewers for art crafts and a HDMI adapter for visual learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very hands-on, active, focused kids. They will not sit still. Despite this, I feel like art crafts will be beneficial for them so that they can keep their minds busy, filled with enrichment and creativity! I love that my students are group-based kids, always wanting to be together. This is why I think providing small activity's like Caterpillar Grapes using the skewer sticks, sushi made out of candy, or for example, cut out clovers for St. Patrick's Day using the construction paper, will be a great help.
Not only that, but I hope to help their learning to be easier for them to process, through visual learning.
Using the adaptor for presentations on the projector will be such a great help to encourage these children to success through a easy learning environment. Also, through art I hope to enable them to have a safe space to emotionally connect with their art pieces, socializing with their group and being able to let out their feelings in their art. This is also a great opportunity for our low-income kids to try out, maybe even newly introduced materials and foods. Leaving this thought in their minds, “I'll come more often, there's a lot of variety to look forward too!” with a smile on their face!
