My students are very creative and love making art. The problem is, with our limited classroom resources, their art projects are mainly done with paper and crayons.
I am a first grade teacher in a rural public school district in Oklahoma.
I have eighteen six and seven year olds in my classroom. The majority of my students are at or below poverty. My students are very imaginative and creative, I want to use their strengths to improve their learning.
My Project
These resources will be used in our literacy art center. My students will be able to paint their names, stamp out their spelling words in play dough and paint pictures to illustrate the stories they write. My students will be so excited about the new art materials and I believe it will show in their writings.
My classroom desperately needs donors like you!
Our school district has been faced with so many state and federal cutbacks the last few years that extra resources are non-existent. My students deserve the best and that is why I'm asking you to help fund our classroom project.
