ART & OT Tie Dying Madness

My students need t-shirts and tie dye kits to create a project that can be challenging and rewarding to promote a positive self image.

My Students

My students are so amazing. They work so hard in their classrooms and in OT. My students are challenged with art creations by Vincent Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Chihuly and more. ART & OT provides a small group of instruction with challenging crafts that provide support in math and writing, learning and practice. For example:

By combining art and occupational therapy, my students can create and visualize concepts.

My students get to practice classroom curriculum while doing activities that are purposeful and meaningful to them. My students are engaged and motivated to create, explore and have fun while learn.

My Project

Art and OT takes the creativity and the motivation needed to promote learning. Art activities promote learning in a fun and natural setting. My students want challenges that they can achieve and the ability to share this with others. Using these t-shirts and the tie dye kits, my students will be working on a Tie Dye project that will require following step by step instructions, using fine motor coordination skills and bilateral coordination skills. My students will be creating Tie Dye Tee Shirts for themselves and for the entire fourth grade class, their peers. The students will then be writing and presenting about this experience. This project is to build character and positive self esteem.
