Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year is my sixth year as the Visual Arts teacher at my school. I work in a school in Brooklyn that has over 950 students. I work with children from pre-k to fifth grade. I want to inspire my art students to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art. I absolutely love making connections with all of my students and being able to broaden their knowledge about what art is and what it can be.
Most of my students think of art in a very traditional way: its painting, drawing and sculpting, but my goal is to show them the vast uses, techniques and ideas that are all ART!
My students are amazing and they teach me something new every day. They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.
My Project
Having such a spacious cart with tons of storage, and organizational options will allow me to provide all my Pre-k through fifth graders with a more diverse "Art on a Cart" experience.
As global conditions have changed, I will no longer be able to educate and inspire in my traditional classroom setting.
Having such an amazing cart will assist me in giving my students access to a wide variety of artistic options, projects, and supplies. This amazing cart will help me maintain the quality and experience my students deserve and move from classroom to classroom with ease!
