This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and fun loving who enjoy learning and playing in our classroom. Every morning that they come to class they are happy and smiling and ready to start the day.
They want to learn and grow!
They want to explore and see everything.
Their little minds are like sponges ready to soak up any learning that they can get. They range between the ages of 3-5 years old, yet although young they are as bright as the night stars.
My Project
The materials will help enhance our art area. These materials are flexible, open-ended, and appeal to my students needs. This donation will help my students understanding the importance of process rather than the final product. The children will be encourage and praised for their thoughtfulness and open-ended thinking. It will also help them with hand- eye coordination such as building with small materials, cutting, ripping, and gluing.
Open-ended materials provide a wealth of ideas for children and give them a relaxing time to create and display.
The materials will also help children with their self-expression to show their feelings and express emotions. Lastly, it is important for me to help them with a rich assortment of materials and experiences, by following children's lead and interest, expanding on their ideas and whenever possible explaining other uses of the materials provided.
