Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Throughout the day Ms. Minaya the art teacher runs from room to room inspiring students to use art as a way to express themselves.
Ms. Minaya teaches 283 students from pre-k to fifth grade in a NYC Title I public school.
Unfortunately, our school doesn't have enough resources to provide the art materials needed to teach this amount of students. The teachers struggle when it comes to making a classroom project and that is why we are seeking for help to be able to make spectacular art projects.
My Project
My students are full of creativity and they are eager to explore new techniques. We lack the necessary funding for my students to reach their full potential in my classes. The materials that we are asking for such as foil paper will help the students learn about texture. The pastels will help them to do landscapes and the clay will help us to create sculptures that will be decorated with the markers or paint.
With your donation students will be able to have better materials, and will be able to create beautiful art pieces.
Students will use art as a therapy and learn that art is a positive and easy way to express themselves.
