Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I plan to use these materials (Prismacolor pencils, markers, and laminating sheets) to help my students create more beautiful illustrations, improve their understanding of artistic principles and to engage in the ability to express themselves. These students don’t often have this opportunity so my art class is where they get to be themselves and share who they are with their teacher, peers, and our community.

After creating this art I plan to preserve their creations by laminating them, which is why I included laminating sheets.

Every student can go home with at minimum 1-2 of their favorite pieces laminated for their families to love and cherish!

Some units I plan to use these materials for would be: creating kinetic art (art with movement), animation (they love illustrating their favorite animated characters such as Hello Kitty), and creating nature illustrations.
