This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember going into math class and having the teacher drill you with math problems? Lower level students need more than that. They need assignments that will be entertaining to them as well as teach them.

My students and their families are mainly immigrants that came to this country for better opportunities.

All students in this class are English Language Learners or students that are learning English as a second language. These students are at least 2 years behind with their math skills.

My Project

I am requesting activity books that will encourage my students to do more math. These resource books require the students to do the math in order to complete the art portion of the worksheet. Along with the resource books, I am requesting color pencils and a pencil sharpener so that they will be able to make their projects appealing.

With your donation, you will be helping to engage students who are reluctant math learners.

We will be using these resource books to help supplement the regular math curriculum which is too difficult for many of these students who are lacking grade level skills.
