This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will create kinetic sculptures in order to demonstrate their knowledge of kinetic energy and potential energy and the way energy is transferred. Students will learn about a variety of artists that have created sculptures based on alternative energy production. Prior to building their sculptures, students will need to design them through the engineering process and will also need to provide written explanations with regard to how the sculpture works and the artist’s work that the sculpture was inspired by. Students will then display their creations as a type of art installation.
