My Project

My students are bright, motivated learners in a Midwestern urban environment. These young people are curious about the world around them and specifically, look at education from a global standpoint. As an educator, I work tirelessly to provide my charges with the kinds of learning experiences that will enrich their lives and turn them into lifelong learners.

This project will connect World History and English Language Arts through the use of the historical manga Barefoot Gen.

Barefoot Gen deals with the horrors of Hiroshima and its aftermath. Students will explore the history of Hiroshima using Barefoot Gen as a starting point.
