My classroom is a place where students can discover who they are. We learn about our world and ourselves through the art we create.
My students go to school in a small, rural community.
They don't have easy access to museums, art shows, and art culture in their daily lives. This year, I plan to introduce them to a whole new world of artists, art work, and materials. My students are amazing! They love coming to art class, and they always fill my heart with joy when they create their art work. Because of this, I have made it my goal to find new and creative ways to enrich their art education and expose them to new ideas.
My Project
This year, I plan to teach my students all about the "building blocks" of art - the Elements and Principles of Art. My art curriculum will not only cover new artists and new techniques, but introduce them to new cultures, geography, and different things about the world they live in. The purchased materials including drawing paper, liquid water colors, paint brushes, collage materials, glue, and construction paper for mounting will enable us to create and display our art work in our school and in our community.
My students don't attend a school where art materials can be purchased easily.
With your help, this funded project will allow me the ability to provide my art students with quality art materials. I am so excited to introduce my students to new art concepts and ideas. I love to see their little faces light up when they accomplish new things! With your help, my art classes can create masterpieces! These art supplies will make all of our projects this year possible!
