Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am honored to be able to start the first ever art club at my school this year. The students in my grade have never gotten to participate in art at school so I am so excited to be able to provide them with this special experience.
I will be teaching my students in this art club all of the skills they need to be creative artists.
These supplies are such as the coloring materials, posca paint pens, and sketch books will help my students create hand-made as well as Cricut machine crafts aligned to curriculum that we are learning throughout the school year.
We will also create holiday themed arts and crafts together throughout the school year as well. These supplies are essential because this club is brand new, therefore I do not have any of the art supplies I will need to teach my students properly.
My goal is for my students to learn to trust their ideas, and themselves, and to explore what is possible while sketching on sketchpads, painting, coloring, and making collages, as well as bringing their creativity to the next level with the use of acrylic paint markers.
My students will be so incredibly excited to be able to use these new items to bring their imagination and creativity to life!
