Help me give my students materials they probably have never seen or used before to engage in arts-based projects in which they will be able to showcase their individual learning of diverse content.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 2 groups of students include exceptional children. In this classroom, I strive to make each one of my students feel comfortable and safe as they may not be as comfortable at home. In addition to being children from low SES, my 7th graders, as other middle-schoolers, are often overlooked when it comes to being included in fun, artistic projects and other projects that involve the arts.
Art-based activities will not only help my students with being more interested in the content we are studying in class, but will help them socially and emotionally as well!
I would love to give my students more opportunities to demonstrate their learning through arts-based projects across all of their subjects.
My Project
As a Humanities teacher, I will be covering literature and social studies in an inclusive setting. I will also be using texts that students can directly relate to such as texts written by Puerto Rican authors, Dominican, Afghani, Nigerian, Congolese, Japanese, Colombian and many other authors from different nationalities. Fiction and non fiction texts written by authors who talk about growing up in the projects, growing up as immigrants, refugees, stories that touch on race, equality, education and other topics will also be explored that my students can learn from.
My students should be able to demonstrate that learning in their own way through the arts using the requested supplies!
