This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Art helps students feel better by providing a creative outlet to process emotions, reduce stress, and build confidence—but its benefits go far beyond emotional well-being. Engaging in the arts also enhances learning by strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

When students have access to art resources—such as quality materials, guided lessons, and time to explore creatively—they are better able to focus, express themselves, and connect new ideas across subjects.

Art supports brain development by activating both hemispheres, which improves memory, attention, and the ability to understand complex concepts. In short, art not only heals—it helps students thrive academically and emotionally, making it an essential part of a well-rounded education. Students will use these paints, markers, art kits, paper and other art supplies to create expressive art. The rolling cart will be used to help organize small materials, fidgets and projects-in-process.
