Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The children in my class are all unique and filled with different personalities but what I love most about them, is that each one has so much to give. Most of my children are from low-income families who struggle financially, however, every single day I see the joy on their faces as their real smiles are hiding behind masks.
The children in my classroom might be young in age, but they have a big heart and a creative mind.
They love to just have fun and bring out the joy and happiness in everything they do.
My Project
This upcoming school year, the materials that are requested are basic art supplies that my students will need for future art projects. Not only will we be using the markers, pencils, glue and crayons while doing art projects and activities to celebrate special events and days but as well as art activities when we do character studies and make our own puppets, or make posters and signs when we work on our persuasive writing. In addition, since last year art class was put on halt due to doe regulations, this year, the students will finally have art class again! We would like to make sure that each one of our students will have what they need for the rest of the school year!
