Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are just simply amazing. They are wonderfully diverse in every way.

We have an increasing number of students who are English Learners, students in the deaf and hard hearing program, students with visual impairments, as well as a large number of students who live in poverty and may have limited access to art materials.

Due to the visual and creative nature of art class, there are opportunities for these students to simply shine. They will be able to use a variety of materials to enhance their art experience whether it is color mixing with model magic, designing castles with blocks, using play-doh to create characters, or using pattern blocks to create radial designs. I know these materials will bring a lot of smile to art class!
