This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 3 and 4 year old preschoolers are a bunch of high-energy, fun-loving students. We have so much fun throughout the day; singing, dancing, and learning together. They enjoy drawing, painting and most importantly storytelling. This is their first school experience as they were toddlers during the pandemic. They are learning how to control and manage their feelings, big or small through a variety of outlets like drawing, painting, reading, music and movement.

By giving my students the resources to create art , it's the best way to have them channel their strong emotions.

Through the drawing and painting they will experiment with different medium, i.e. paint, model magic clay, water colors will allow them the opportunity to create one a kind art. The kinetic sand will help them calm down when they have strong feelings. I would make the kinetic sand available during Choice time and allow them to manipulate it as a way to calm them and strengthen their fine motor skills.
