Art Class Is the Best Class

Help me give my students a great year in art. These are items we are always running out of, except for the drawing pencils. I would love my advanced students to have them.

My Project

This is my 3rd year as the only art teacher in a huge middle school. I am an artist, and teaching drawing and painting as it should be is why I went back to college to teach art. I want to have the opportunity for students to learn how to draw properly, and also to paint and make 3D sculptures. My favorite part of my job is watching them create something FABULOUS that they didn't think they could do!

This is my first request on this site, and I am hoping to get the supplies we are constantly using.

We go through lots of Sharpie markers and pencils as they are great for outlining, shading, and many projects. I make sure to keep up with them and use them until the very end of their life.

Also, I have to beg parents to send in wipes to clean tables with because the school doesn't provide them. I included the graphite drawing pencils, because I would love to teach my advanced 8th grade class to shade properly and understand the difference pencils make in drawing.

These supplies would help get my year off to a great start. I feel as though art is every bit as important as STEM and sports, and the subjects that get more focus. It teaches risk-taking and decision-making. I would be so grateful for your support.
