This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 3rd campaign for our art classroom will supply the rest of our basic supplies in the form of oil pastels and more durable 80lb drawing paper (we have been making do with computer paper and old Manila drawing paper for the time being), as well as some additional organizers, both for supplies and student work, and aprons for some of the messier media we will use this year.

My students didn’t get to see the first packages of supplies from campaign 2 arrive, but I’m excited to share them with each class starting Monday.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported so far. This campaign is once again getting a head start due to all the generous donations helping the first 2 exceed their goals. I am still watching the weather regularly to see if aiming for an air conditioner next is the best strategic move for the classroom. If not I will likely start to do some campaigns for individual furniture items such as paper storage and flat racks so we can better preserve student work.
