My Project
I am a special education teacher in NY. My school is an Early Childhood Center that ranges from Pre-K to Grade 2. We have a large population of English language learners. The staff at our school pride ourselves on creating a love of learning in young children so they may carry it with them throughout their lives.
The students in my class have been diagnosed with disabilities such as speech and language disorders, learning disabilities, and delays in motor skills.
They have several different learning styles, and it is often a challenge to meet the specific needs of each and every child.
My students love to express themselves through art. I am requesting paper organizers so that we can separate paper by color to allow students to easily choose the perfect materials for their projects. I am also requesting cozy seats to place in the art center. These seats will create a nice inviting space for the students to work in. I know my students will be inspired and excited to get to get creative once these materials arrive!
