My Students
The favorite part of my day is walking into a classroom and seeing the smiles on my student's faces when they realize it is time for Art class. We have an incredibly diverse population of students at our school. I love seeing how their backgrounds and culture translates into their art work.
My Project
For all of last year our students learned art on their computers, once every other week, for thirty minutes. This year we are so excited to have kids back in our art space ready for hands on learning.
The ability to teach young artists with quality materials gives them confidence and the ability to see themselves as the creative makers that they are.
A prime example of quality art materials are the Winsor and Newton watercolors. They are highly pigmented, travel sized kits that can be taken outside along with the water brush pens. Kids can learn the value of using art supplies that can last them for years.
