This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I serve enthusiastic, charismatic, and terrific 3 year old's! For all of these children, this is their first schooling experience. With the impact of COVID-19, this is their first virtual school experience.
For these very young learners, we are aware that their brains are like sponges and are they eager to learn.
With the materials they will receive, they will be able to have the schooling experience as much as possible in the comfort of their homes.
My Project
Although this learning adventure is at home, my hope is to make it memorable, exciting, and fun! My goal is that these young children will have the foundation and skills they need to thrive.
For 3 year old's, it is important that they have the exposure to experiences that will nurture their ability to learn and grow.
The use of these art materials will encourage and develop the children's vocabulary, fine motor, math, and literacy skills.
The wiki stix can be used for bending and forming letters or shapes, collage materials to explore their creativity and imagination. The watercolor paint can be used for children to experiment with colors and how they change after mixing them together. Many of these activities, along with the help of their families can be done virtually as well. Families would be invited to take pictures of their child's art work and share with their classmates.
I believe that the children having access to these materials at home will really make this new experience a great one for these young learners. Thank you for your support!
