This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"All children are artists," Pablo Picasso famously said. My students are artists. They are creative, imaginative and full of energy! My students love to experiment with new art mediums and think outside the box. My art students yearn for technology in art as they are immersed in STEM learning throughout their classrooms.
My art students thrive on independent originality and they constantly push the boundaries of everyday storytelling by creating personalized artworks using many different types of media.
Many of my students have been a part of my art class since kindergarten and I am so proud of their growth and love of visual art. They are an amazing group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have my artistic learners that are excited and ready to create each and every day!
My Project
If our project is fully funded we will use the Apple iPad with a protective case for a variety of artistic projects involving technology, photography and editing. My students constantly push the boundaries of everyday storytelling by creating personalized artworks using many different types of media. Utilizing their combined skills and imagination to narrate through sketches, pastels, paint, and canvas.
I would love the opportunity to teach my students more about technology, photo editing, and digital art and plan to teach them to use the iPad to edit photographs using digital software as part of their Principles of Design project.

My students love to sketch, photograph and design. Students will organize artwork, pictures and words, creating vibrant and stylized images with a unique twist. We will use various art and editing apps to create digital art and also use the iPad for research purposes.
