This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Remember being in elementary school and enjoying art class and the smell of crayons and/or seeing your work displayed around the halls?

Well, my beautiful 8th graders need a crayon sharpener (to recycle old crayons) along with bins, specialty tape for hanging, and new pen crayons to use when they are feeling anxious and/or blue and can just go off to one area of our room to draw and be creative.

Art helps many with an anxious mind; one outlet for releasing their angst and just being creative. Being able to provide these items with help me help them be able to then focus on academics once they have created and released whatever has them worrying about.
