Art and Enrichment in Kindergarten!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are resilient and wonderful! They are kindergartners and they are so happy to be back in person. For most, it is their first experience with school and I would love for them to have the best experience they possibly can have in kindergarten!

My Project

The first item I am asking for is watercolor paper. This paper is a game changer! Watercolors come out so much more vibrant on this paper. Students are prone to ripping regular construction paper. This will provide a heavy duty surface for them to work on. We will be working on self portraits, as well as a watercolor Picasso-inspired masterpiece!

The possibilities are endless with magnatiles!

Students can make anything they want and they always blow me away with their creativity. I have never had magnatiles in my class before and I know they will just love them!! This will also build their social emotional skills as they work collaboratively. This will foster sharing and taking turns. I cannot wait to get started!
