My Students
Challenging eager learners through STEM! Our school is filled with energetic Title I learners. As a math teacher, I would like to turn my students into lifelong learners through STEM. My students learn through discovery and self-exploration.

We proudly provide our scholars with a strong academic program that includes project-based learning, use of technology in the classroom, digital learning, various reading incentive programs, and learning platforms tailored to each student's academic needs and aspirations.
My Project
Our project will be used to bring geometry lessons to life. My fifth graders are introduced to finding volume of a cube through discovery. Students will create a large cube from connected smaller cubes. By creating a cube, students will better understand why and how to calculate the volume of a cube.
This project will offer support to students in Literacy/Reading and STEM.
The "magic" folding cube is made up of 8 single cubes. The faces of the cube show nine different pictures with six on the outside and three inside. Students will decorate the magic square with inspirations from famous artists and mathematicians through photos taken with the digital cameras. Students will then print each picture with the all-in-one printer on copy paper and attach with packaging tape to cubes. This is a cross curriculum lesson including reading, writing, and STEM.
