My Students
I teach the sweetest, most amazing talented students. Out of twenty students, three are English Language Learners and four have a learning disability. However, ALL of my students are awesome and motivated to learn. Most of my students come from homes that are unable to provide them with some helpful school supplies. Therefore, I must provide some school supplies for them. Despite, them not coming to school with supplies, they are over the moon excited to learn and proud of themselves when they accomplish a task.
My Project
Technology is a powerful and wonderful tool. My class would like to use this tool effectively. They need headphones for their listening station and iPad station. I would like to set up a listening center so that two or four children can listen to the same book at the same time. A listening center provide a wonderful opportunity for children to hear their favorite book. Headphones are an essential tool for a successful listening center.
I would also like to set up an iPad/computer station.
An iPad/computer station will be used in my literacy and math block. Students will be able to use a comprehensive leveled reading resource called Raz-Kids, a leveled math resource called Dreambox and other educational resources. This station will foster independence in my students. The assignments on their iPad will be on their reading, math, learning level. Headphones are an essential tool for a successful iPad/computer station.
