My Project
Has your teacher ever read to your class a spectacular book that you want to get your hands on? Well, in my class, our curriculum only provides one teacher text for one class, so it's difficult for students to track the pages I'm reading aloud. Currently, when I read, the students just listen and comprehend. 100% of my students are English Language Learners or speak Spanish at home, so it is essential that they have their hands on the text. With a class set, our class will be on the same page ;), engage in popcorn reading (taking turns), and build their listening and reading comprehension skills.

Our students can use their fingers to track which word we're on, instead of just listening to what their teacher was reading aloud. Students are more engaged since they have the physical books in front of them! I will use the whiteboards as an engagement tool by asking students to sketch what happened in each chapter. I can't wait for my students to be able to read the Tiger Rising with me. Thank you for your help.
